Congratulations and welcome to Senior Year!

A lot is going to happen this year as we celebrate and prepare for graduation. Everything will be communicated with students and parents. This page will serve a quick reference for what to expect.

A Senior Fee of $750.00 will be charged to offset the costs of graduation and to fund a variety of activities to celebrate the Senior Class throughout the year. This fee will be broken into two payments: the first is due in November and the 2nd in January. These payments will be billed through Alpha Accounting and are non-refundable.

The Senior Fee will cover a variety of celebratory events and gifts throughout the year; such as a class shirt, graduate yard sign, Senior breakfast, and more.

For the baccalaureate and graduation ceremonies, the Senior Fee will cover: cap and gowns, diplomas, diploma covers, graduation sword, awards, venue rentals, and dinner. Per an agreement with our photographer, each family will also receive the professional photos taken during the baccalaureate and graduation ceremonies, including family photos taken after graduation.

The Senior Fee will not cover optional items such as yearbooks, graduation announcements, class rings, letter jackets, school pictures, or Senior Trip fees.

Iron Academy does not charge for senior dedication yearbook pages or tickets to the graduation ceremony.

Baccalaureate: An intimate evening for graduates, their immediate family, and staff. There will be a catered dinner, time of worship, awards, and speeches as we celebrate our graduates and reflect on their journey.

Graduation: A traditional conclusion to a student's K-12 academic career, with speeches and diploma presentations combined with some non-traditional, Iron Academy specific elements! Our graduation ceremony is open to all and there are no tickets or guest limitations.

Seniors are required to wear a white, button-down dress shirt, black dress pants, Iron Academy tie, belt, and dress shoes under their cap and gown. This will be required for senior photographs and the graduation ceremony. Attire is expected to be wrinkle-free, presentable, and neat looking. Gowns and stoles should be wrinkle-free for the graduation ceremony.

Seniors will finish their classes in early-mid-May to allow them to go on a Senior trip. We encourage each senior class to plan a trip that will be educationally beneficial while also providing a time to make memories and celebrate their accomplishments. The students are encouraged to hold fundraisers throughout the year to offset the costs of the trip.

The Senior trip is counted as mandatory school attendance. Any student choosing not to go on the trip will be expected to attend school every day and continue classwork.

Please see the Handbook for detailed information regarding the policies on attendance, eligibility, payments, refunds, etc.

Happy New Year!
